Frequently asked questions

What does an exhibition stall designer do?

An exhibition stall designer creates the concept, layout and 3D visualisation for a company's booth at a trade fair. At Stagehook Global, the process starts with a briefing on brand goals, footfall targets and stand size, then we deliver photorealistic renders, engineered floor plans and technical drawings within 72 hours. Our designers specialise in high-impact hero stands, double-decker builds, and modular systems, all tuned to the sightlines, lighting rigs and traffic-flow requirements of the specific expo hall you are exhibiting in.

How much does a custom exhibition stall cost?

Custom exhibition stalls typically cost between USD 250 and USD 800 per square metre for turnkey delivery, depending on the country, complexity, materials, technology (LED walls, interactive screens, hospitality zones) and whether the stand is single or double storey. Stagehook Global provides an itemised written quote within 72 hours of receiving your brief. Modular reusable stands can bring the per-show cost down to USD 120 to USD 250 per square metre over three to five uses.

How long before an expo should I book a stall builder?

Book your exhibition stand contractor at least 12 weeks before the show for hero and double-decker stands, and at least 6 weeks for smaller custom builds. For fully modular systems, four weeks is usually enough. Booking early gives your designer time for concept iteration, material sourcing, engineering drawings, health-and-safety compliance sign-off from the organiser, and logistics scheduling — all of which strongly influence the final quality of the build on show day.

Where do you build your stands?

Stagehook Global builds stands across the UK, USA, Europe, Russia and Asia. We have offices in London, Frankfurt (Hanau), Las Vegas and Noida, and work with vetted crews in the cities where we build — including Milan, Bologna, Munich, Cologne, Hamburg, Paris, Barcelona, Amsterdam, Las Vegas, Chicago, Moscow and Singapore. This means a single point of contact designs the stand while a local crew handles installation, permits and dismantling in your show city.

What is the difference between custom and modular exhibition stands?

A custom exhibition stand is designed and fabricated from scratch for one specific show and brand — bespoke shapes, unique materials, integrated tech, maximum wow-factor. A modular stand uses a reusable frame system with printed graphics that can be reconfigured for multiple shows over three to five years, reducing per-show cost. Custom is best for flagship annual shows; modular is best for roadshows or exhibitors attending five or more expos per year.

Do you handle installation and dismantling too?

Yes — Stagehook Global is a fully turnkey exhibition contractor. That includes delivery to the venue, on-site installation to the organiser's schedule, health-and-safety documentation, live event standby crew for on-show fixes, and dismantling plus removal within the organiser's deadline. For exhibitors who reuse stands across multiple shows, we also handle inter-show storage, freight, customs paperwork, and refurbishment between events, so you never touch a crate.

What materials do you use for exhibition stalls?

For custom stands we use MDF, plywood, and aluminium framing painted or laminated with PVC film for a premium finish, plus tensioned fabric graphics, LED walls, backlit lightboxes, wood veneer, real stone accents, and glass. Modular stands use aluminium octanorm and beMatrix systems with printed textile skins. Every material is selected against the venue's fire-safety class (B1/EN-13501 or NFPA-701) — critical for organiser sign-off in Germany, France and the USA.

Can Stagehook Global build country pavilions?

Yes — country pavilion delivery is one of our specialities. We recently delivered the India Pavilion at Vivatech Paris 2026 and India Pavilion Seafood Expo Global Barcelona 2026, plus the Iraq Pavilion at ITB Berlin 2026. Country pavilions require culturally-authentic design language, coordination across many participating brands, plus organiser-level approvals, and are typically 300 sqm and above. We work directly with export promotion boards and trade councils on these builds.

How fast can you deliver renders and a quote?

You will have preliminary 3D renders and an itemised budget quote within 72 hours of sending us your brief through stagehookglobal.com/contact or emailing sales@stagehookglobal.com. The brief only needs to include the expo name, stand size in sqm, event dates, and any brand guidelines. Design revisions are unlimited within your booking, and once the concept is signed off we lock the drawings, order materials, and share a production schedule.

Which trade shows and expos has Stagehook Global built stands at?

Stagehook Global has delivered over 850 stands across 60+ expos including Prodexpo Moscow, Analitika Expo Moscow, Salone del Mobile Milano, Cosmoprof Bologna, EICMA, EMO Hannover, Interzoo Nürnberg, Intersolar Munich, ITB Berlin, Vivatech Paris, SIAL Paris, MWC Barcelona, ISE Barcelona, Breakbulk Rotterdam, AAPEX Las Vegas, SupplySide West, IDEM Singapore and ACETECH Hyderabad.

Do you offer graphics and branding services separately?

Yes — Stagehook Global offers standalone exhibition graphics services if you already have a stand structure and only need large-format prints, backlit lightboxes, tensioned fabric skins, dimensional signage, vehicle wraps, or LED-wall content. Our print house handles Fogra-certified colour matching, so brand red is exactly your brand red across every print. Turnaround is typically 5 working days from artwork approval, or 48 hours for rush jobs at a small premium.

Is Stagehook Global available for last-minute or emergency builds?

Yes — we regularly deliver emergency stand builds when an exhibitor is let down by their original contractor. If you contact us within four weeks of your show date we can still deliver a full custom stand in most European and US expo cities using our regional workshops and pre-stocked modular inventory. Contact the Europe desk +48 732 083 996 or the USA desk +1 702 602 1531 for urgent enquiries — replies within one hour, seven days a week during expo season.
